I recently got 2GB of lifetime bonus data when I upgraded my S7. Now with the new Verizon plan offering 2GB of bonus data, I'm looking at switching from the 16GB XL plan to the 8GB L plan. Since the plan has 4 lines and an extra 2 GB per line, I would end up with the same data as before with less costs. If I switch, can I keep my 2GB bonus data as well as my 2GB line?

2GB PER LINE bonus data is only available if you upgrade a device with a prepaid plan or add a new service line. You have a new device on your line, so you won't be able to get another 2GB bonus on that line. If the other lines are invalid, or you're not ready for new devices on the payment plans for those lines, you won't get the 2GB bonus on them either.
How is this not an ad? As far as I can see, it's 2GB per active line, and my 16GB XL plan shows that I've already got 2GB of bonus data per line, all I have to do is accept it.

Yes, I have 2GB for the line offered in Verizon's My Offers area, check. I was able to add 2GB to my smartphone line every month, even for BYOD devices, according to the plan. If you're on an 8GB (L) plan or more, it stays.
If I change my 16GB XL data plan with 2GB bonus data to a 4GB plan "for life", will I keep my 2GB bonus data on the same line? In other words, does "for life" mean life for food?
